Wunanbiri Preschool Incorporated was established in 1993 and is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ABN 71 712 137 968). We are based at 7–11 Park Road, Alexandria, in inner Sydney.
For more than three decades, Wunanbiri has been a trusted place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children can learn and play in an environment that celebrates who they are. We were created by and for our community — to make sure our youngest children grow up strong in culture and ready for school.
Today we continue to welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, as well as other children from vulnerable and diverse backgrounds, into a warm and supportive early learning home.
To provide a culturally strong, nurturing and high-quality early childhood education program that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families, and gives every child the best possible start to school and life.
An empowered community where every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child grows up proud, confident and connected to culture — with the foundations to thrive throughout their education and beyond.
We honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, language and connection to Country in everything we do.
We are community-led and family-centred, walking alongside families with respect and care.

Acknowledgement of Country. We acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Wunanbiri stands. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and celebrate the world's oldest continuing cultures.
Wunanbiri is an incorporated association and a registered charity with the ACNC. As a not-for-profit, every dollar and every effort goes towards our charitable purpose — the care, education and wellbeing of children.
